With the recent deaths of David Lynch and Jeannot Szwarc, we are reminded that the best movie directors often show that we are limited only by our imaginations.
In Lynch’s finest film, The Elephant Man, he proved that humans can overcome almost any physical limitation, while Szwarc, in his greatest accomplishment, Somewhere in Time, demonstrated, at least in a fictional setting, that we can overcome time itself.
